Warner Bros. have just released some brand new posters and a second trailer for Kong: Skull Island, and it looks like everything we could ask for from an action sci-fi flick.
The new content follows confirmation at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year that another Kong movie was in the works, as well as the original trailer. The latest release gives us a better understanding of the film’s story and its tone.
For such a well-visited tale, the latest adaptation is attempting to add a spin on the story you think you know, dropping us into Skull Island during the Vietnam War and mixing the tense atmosphere and horror of a war drama with the usual light relief and humour of a blockbuster action adventure.
This time we see Kong bigger than ever, and whole host of other terrifying creatures in their mysterious, uncharted home. The fast paced trailer sets the tone for the movie, with thrilling action sequences interspersed with some interesting character interactions. Kong also has an impressive cast, which includes Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Toby Kebbell.
Kong: Skull Island will be released on 10th March 2017, and will no doubt include the set up the Kong vs. Godzilla movie project.
